In line with the mandate of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to provide central direction, leadership and coordination of scientific and technological efforts and to ensure that the results therefrom are geared and utilized in areas of maximum economic and social benefits for the Filipino people, the Office of the Undersecretary for Regional Operations (DOST-ROS) oversees the realization of that mandate regionwide.

                 The formulated policies, plans, programs, and projects to develop S&T; to promote scientific and technological activities; and to ensure that the results of S&T activities are brought closer to the more disadvantaged sectors of our society are implemented and coordinated by its frontline offices -- the 14 regional and 73 provincial offices nationwide.
